Another point is to split your disk to have some free space for Ubuntu if you want to keep your windows 10 system. I also changed the fast startup option which I am not sure whether it is necessary (i.e., in control panel, choose Power Options, then click ‘choose what the power buttons do’ and ‘change settings that are currently unavailable’, then we can change the shutdown settings, now uncheck ‘turn on fast startup’).
Based on my limited understanding, CMS is probably the earlier version which is compatible with Linux system.
